I thought I'd try and extend the functionality of the ACEBOTT Robot car, by doing some AI processing of the video feed on my windows Laptop. I created two python scripts, one script scans for and charges at red or a user specified color . The other follows a Cat or other object supported by MobileNetSSD (aeroplane, bicycle, bird, boat, bottle, bus, car, cat, chair, cow, diningtable, dog, horse, motorbike, person, pottedplant, sheep, sofa, train, tvmonitor). The scripts work fairly well, but their are some caveats, the ESP32 web server likes to crash and the frame rate tends to drop when the car is moving, decreasing the reliability, so objects aren't detected until they are fairly close and it can lose track of an object fairly easily. So there is a reason other than money they require you to buy the AI module for AI features in the official APP. That said me and my daughter had fun with these scripts.
